I think most people would think this might be something nutty to do, and
up until a couple yrs ago, i would also. However, I had a "celiac
moment" on board an Amtrak on the way home from Chicago to MI ( a very
long 5 hr trip). I was with extremely good friends and am very grateful.
I had obviously ingested gluten, and couldnt speak, was unable to move
by myself and was seeing black spots and was in a very cold sweat. My
friends got me to the bathroom and I incapicated that room for the rest
of the trip. Between diarrhea and vomiting, and almost passing out, it
was not fun. Has I been alone or with someone who didnt know, I have not
a clue as to what would have happened. At least if you had a bracelet,
they would know something. Mary in MI
