I congratulate Annette and others who made last Saturday's conference
worthwhile. New information was shared and it was thrilling to see Gino
and Michelle Banco presenting along side the medical specialists.

I have only one negative memory of the conference and it has to do with two
particular members of the celiac community who were inexcusably rude to the
cafeteria workers when questions arose regardintg the gluten-free status of
our meal. I was appalled and ashamed to be standing in line with these
people. This behavior does our mission of educating others of our special
needs SERIOUS damage. I belives we have spoken here in the past regarding
diplomatic ways of getting our concerns across to the food manufacturers,
airlines, etc. As a courtesy to the rest of the celiac community as well
as the rest of the HUMAN race, may I suggest you (as both are members of
this list serv) refresh yourselves this top via the archives and send an
apology to those cafeteria workers at Mt. Sinai.
