Yes, beans can be highly indigestible, even in healthy people.  We use a
product called, BEANO, which is an enzyme that helps to break down the
complex sugars contained in beans.  We use the liquid form, about 3-4 drops
on the first bite of food, and no more problems for us.  Without this
