I posted a message last week about my gluten-like reaction to the
fluid I drank for a CT scan. Thanks to all who responded.
 
I spoke to my doctor yesterday and mentioned my gluten-like reaction.
He said that he was quite sure that the fluid was gluten-fee (although he
would double check) but that it was given to alter the water balance in
the colon, causing a similar reaction type of reaction to a gluten reaction.
He indicated that the reaction could be exaggerated in someone
who's system is already damaged from celiac.
 
I guess it makes sense. For me it was a big reminder of how bad things
really were before my diagnosis, and right  now I have absolutely no
desire to cheat!
