Dear Friends,
My kids cannot bear the thought of Passover without matzo ball soup, and I
want some too. Does anyone have a recipe?
Thanks,

I need help getting some information for a friend who is ill with CD like
symptoms and would like to try a GF diet but is used to relying on packaged
food and is a bit "science-phobic" about reading package labels etc. Does
anyone know of a GI who is CD friendly in Burnaby or the greater Vancouver
area? She was denied a biopsy because she isn't a "classic" case and has
been labelled as having IBS by both her GP and the specialist she saw.
Also, is there a [...]43_3Apr199709:22:[log in to unmask] 9704A 1371 21 21_Commercial g-f sauces20_Victor J. Samuel [log in to unmask], 3 Apr 1997 11:48:48 -0600715_- <<Disclaimer: Verify this information before applying it to your situation.>>

Hey listmembers,

My children each received their very own tube of toothpaste from their
grandparents for Easter. It was a very nice gesture and the kids were
thrilled to have their very own tube. It is Colgate brand "funky" flavours
with the Loonie Tunes characters. I called the 800 number and asked about
the gluten status. The lady put me hold for all of 30 seconds, came back
saying "all" our brands are gluten free. I know I read a post previously
stating that Colgate was in fact gf but [...]42_3Apr199712:13:[log in to unmask] 9704A 1422 11 11_rice flakes16_Mike [log in to unmask], 3 Apr 1997 14:25:06 UT237_- <<Disclaimer: Verify this information before applying it to your situation.>>

Saw the following note in this month's Self magazine and thought I would
share it:

An Insulin Alternative: Rezulin, a drug recently approved by the FDA, can
effectively lower blood glucose levels while reducing and in some cases,
eliminating- the need for insulin injections in people with type II Diabetes.

Thanks also to all of you have sent words of wisdom on the possibility of
diabetes relating to the skin condition I just recieved a biopsy report on- I
am seeing my internist on Wed who will first do a blood test that shows your
blood sugar levels over the last three months and what pattern they have been
following- normal or not- If that comes back as any type of abnormality, he
will go ahead and do the fasting test- I will post my findings when the tests
are all done and will hope this is all just a big scare.
Best Regards,
Leslie-NYC
