Now I am confused. I have a booklet recieved from Hunt-Wesson
Foods in Fullerton, which lists their soy sauce products under the name "La
Choy," which also happens to be the soy sauce recommended by CSA/USA on
their restaurant card.
If I read the inforamtion from Hunt-Wesson correctly, then the "La
Choy" may not be safe as it contains QUOTE: "HVP which may contain gluten"
and "distilled vinegar made from wheat OR corn [and] may contain trace
amounts of these grains."
I see no mention of "Chun King" as a product of Hunt-Wesson. I
recieved my "Food Sensitivities" booklet from Hunt-Wesson early this year.
Has Hunt-Wesson aquired Chun King? Is the CSA/USA organization
aware of the possibility of contamination of the La Choy soy sauce they
recommend on their restaruant card? (or perhaps I have a very old
restaurant card?)
