gluten prior to biopsy

Would some knowledgeable person please post, once again, some directions on
how many days/weeks/months one must ingest gluten, after being on a
gluten-free diet, prior to having a biopsy.

I keep reading posts from people who have been told to eat gluten
containing foods for five days or a week or maybe even two weeks before a
biopsy, but my memory says that it should be a longer period of time. I'm
not an MD and don't know the correct time span. But if the list readers
had a reminder, perhaps they would be able to convince their doctors that
if they are to go thru the discomfort of a biopsy, they should at least be
sure they have been eating gluten containing foods for the necessary period
of time.

Thanks. Gayle Kennedy
