I got one of the first runs of Jo-Krisp from the Jowar company in Texas.

Think Grape-Nuts, and you've more or less got the taste and consistency.
It's not sweet, but is quite pleasant and "nutty" in texture and flavor -
quite crunchy. The individual bits of cereal are slightly smaller than a
bb, or 1/8 of an inch in diameter (3mm? for my metric friends). It would
be good as a sprinkle on ice-cream, and its package suggests that you
grind it for making pie crust (something like a graham crumb crust I
would suppose). I keep some in a small jar in the freezer compartment
and shake out a handful for munching.

(I don't eat cereal any more, as I can't drink milk, so I can't comment
on how it would be as a breakfast cereal.)
