In a previous article, [log in to unmask] (Deanna M Polakowski) says:

>While shopping for groceries last week-end, I came across Betty
>Crocker's Pop-Secret Popcorn Bars. I read the ingredients very carefully
>and could not find any ingredient known to me that would have gluten in
>them. I did buy a box and did not have any reaction (I am CD and DH - so
>it would have hit me one way or the other). I did call the company. The
>lady told me that "Pop-Secret does not make any products that are gluten
>free. Corn is a grain, and there is gluten in the corn." Has anyone
>heard of this before? From what I have been able to gather, corn is the
>only grain that most celiacs can eat.

I called the company several months ago re: Pop Secret Microwave
Popcorn...just to make sure that there was no hidden gluten in it, and to
find out what other products they had that were gluten free. After a
rather long conversation, the gentleman on the other end of the phone told
me that there P-R-O-B-A-B-L-Y was not anything in the product that had
gluten in it, HOWEVER, because of cross contamination, nothing Betty
Crocker makes is considered Gluten Free. There is too much flour flying
around the plant to guarantee anything. (corn is not a problem for
celiacs...unless, of course, you are allergic to it!)

I hope this helps.
