Hi,
I used to like soymi the bookbooks, "The Gluten-Free Gourmet" and
"More From the Gluten-Free Gourmet", by Bette Hagman.
Her bread recipes are wonderful and worth the price of the
books. Also try a bread machine. My life changed completely
when I got my bread machine, I now eat good bread that my
family even thinks is good. [...]41_15May199617:43:

Refractory celiac by definition is failure to thrive on a gluten free diet
following accurate diagnosis of celiac: more specifically, I guess, the
characteristic celiac lesion remains despite no gluten in the diet.
A recent question about this condition got one public answer. Including
this father of a celiac child, however, I already know of others with
successfully treated conditions on the list. [...]42_15May199622:13:

I appreciate the info sharing that goes on here, but today's offerings have
got to remind people to VERIFY the INFORMATION.
Osteoporosis a rich person's disease? Osteporosis can be hereditary-
Osteoporosis can be enhanced by the loss of hormones brought about by
menopause in women. According to Dr. Susan Lark, in her 1995 book
titled "Womens Health Companion", "Osterporosis affects 20 million
older Americans, 90 % of whom are women. One out of 3 American
women will develop Osterporosis after menopause. Other factors such as
skin pigmentation, family history, hormonal [...]43_15May199619:01:

Messages charged with stereotypes such as "rich persons disease", makes
me question the medical validity of the authors. I am certain there are
many poor people with osteoporosis who have this condition as a result of
hormonal imbalance, malabsorption, heredity, and or poor diet. It is true
vegetarian diets are preferable, but osteoporosis is a very complex
condition brought about by many factors. The Celiac condition & the
malabsorption that results is of particular concern to women. I can't
vouch for the elephants of Africa or if they have been tested [...]43_15May199619:29:

Hi guys,
Please excuse my inability to thank all of you personally (I
accidentally deleted your addresses while trying to send this) and for
making this a dual-purpose note. It is both a thank you to those of you
who so kindly responded to my question and a summary for the list so that
others may benefit as well. [...]44_15May199623:27:
