Hi All,
Some of you may recall that I posted a warning to celiacs in early
August, about the contrast solution used for CT scan. I went through
difficulty breathing, then, like Sue, I experienced something very
similar to a gluten reaction. The radiologist told me, at that time, that
he had done ct scans on two celiacs previously, and all three of us had
"reactions" to the contrast solutions. He thought it might be the iodine.
He was thinking about writing an article for a journal about it.

I think it is important to be very careful about such contrast solutions.
It felt like a truck was sitting on my chest, and I just couldn't
breathe. And I was too foggy to give the medical people a clear
explanation of what was going on. I am greatful this guy was on the ball. It
isn't a fun experience.

I hope that is helpful.
Best Wishes,
Ron Hoggan
