Edema should go away with the GF diet assuming nothing else is wrong with
the kidneys. It's apparently due to osmotic pressure from undigested
protein pushing the fluid out into the tissue.
 
When my endo spotted it in my ankles, he listed a lingering infection,
unnoticed heart attack, kidneys or something that would take more testing
to uncover as possible causes.
