This reference refers to a letter commenting on the Finnish study, not an
article with new data. The second half of the single column presenting this
is a response from the authors. Their criticism also involves the site and
method of biopsy (suction versus forceps, proximal versus jejunal) and lack
of immunological measurements.
 
Response defends the biopsy method with 2 citations to the literature and
points out that the same method was used for all four groups: that
preliminary immunological results find no differences (but no endosymial)
and says the study is continuing for five years.
 
The Holmes cancer data (1989) is out-of-date and has large error bars due
to small sample size.
