Now age 50, I was diagnosed with D.H. 3 months ago after a skin biopsy and
have been careful to be on a G.F. diet since then. My doctor wants me to go
off diet for 2 - 3 weeks to do an intestinal biopsy and prove if I am a true
coeliac or just allergic to gluten. Apart from the DH I only have mild
reactions to gluten but I am feeling so much better - fewer head and eye
aches, more energy, enjoying life more etc since going GF that I'm reluctant
to agree. I would appreciate any thoughts you may have eg

Is such a long challenge really necessary ?
How long might it take to repair any damage?
Might vitamin supplements help reduce the effects?

Thanks in advance
Mick
