Researching Pain killers can be a real pain!

I spoke with Donna Marie Valentine R.N. @ Whitehall Laboratories (maker of
Advil, 800-322-3129) medical division. Ms. Valentine said " Advil is not
made consistently from one source. The COMPANY CAN NOT VERIFY THAT ADVIL IS
GLUTEN FREE. Because they use various vendors, some who use wheat derivative
binders.

The good news is that ORUDIS ( a Ketoprofen, similar to ibuprofen) IS
VERIFIABLY GLUTEN FREE, the binder is corn based, according to
Ms. Valentine.

***It is becoming clear that some action needs to be taken in regards to
the FDA requiring clear labeling for GF. I dream that someday, there
will be a GF identification marker on all products & pharmaceuticals,
similar to that of Kosher labeling.
