Hi,
Does anyone on the list know the gluten-free status of alfalfa? I have
recently been diagnosed with osteoporosis and I am unable to take one of the
drugs normally prescribed because of a history of cancer in my family and the
other drug because of my GI tract problems. I am searching for an alternative
and alfalfa seems to fit the bill.
It provides a tremendous amount of calcium, as well as potassium, phosphorus,
protein, iron, B-complex, enzymes for digestion, fiber, and significant
anti-inflammatory elements including copper and zinc. It recommends using in
tea or capsule form only. I would be more intrested in the capsule form if
anyone has any information.
Thanks in advance for any help you may be able to offer.
