I am a 34 year old celiac (dx'd last april) on g-f diet. Until recently
I had felt unready and too sick for pregnancy, but now am thinking about
preparing to have a child in the next year or so. I am very concerned
about whether or not I absorb and/or have enough folic acid, calcium and
other nutrients to nurture a strong healthy baby. Are there tests to check
these things? Why do my doctors act like this is irrelevant? Is there a
special regimen I should follow? Do you know of articles I should read?
How can I convince my doctor to do appropriate tests? Are there other
things I should be considering as well? I will summarize.

Thank you in advance!
Catherine
