Hi,
I have a 3 yr old with CD. I believe I have done a good job at keeping
the gluten out of her diet. (It's been 2 years since the diagnosis and
we are use to, and very diligent about, the diet.) My question is this:
Erin seems to get headaches often. At first I attributed it to maybe
car sickness since many of the complaints came while riding in a car.
Lately it's been times when she is not riding in a vehicle, but just
around the house or something. She is the only Celiac in the family, so
I don't know what it feels like to have a reaction to gluten. Is this
one of the symtoms of eating gluten? She does not have tummy aches or
diarhea with the headaches-which is the reaction she would have after
accidentaly ingesting gluten. I just find it hard to believe that a
small child would have so many headaches. (I have a 5 yr old son who
maybe once or twice in his life has said "I have a headache".)
If anyone has any thoughts or suggestions on the subject, let me know.
Thanks.
Jenny Cronin
