The following is a summary of replies recieved on Cisapride & Granuloma;
Cisapride (prepulsid) - a drug which facilitates gastric emptying and
improves gastrointestinal motility.
Most people on the drug were able to drop it once they went on a
gluten-free diet. One lady, (also a diabetic) needs to go back on it
from time to time. I'm STILL on it.
Granuloma Annulare - a skin problem. A number of people sounded like
they had it but had not had it diagnosed. Treatments for it were
Dermovate (steroid cream) used on the face.
Ultravate (steroid cream) used on the body.
Both creams were prescribed by a dermatologist and neither sounded to be
entirely successful.
My dermatologist said there was a weak link between granuloma annulare
and diabetes, and judging by the number of replies, it may be associated
with coeliac disease also.
Thanks for mail recieved on the subject Joanne
