I was catching up on e-mail when I found Bonnie Hall's question about
"What I did wrong", and her summary of all the responses she got. Did anyone
else feel a little discouraged by the long list of mistakes that can be made?
I also read the responses reminding us of "plain old food poisoning, a
short-lived intestinal flu, giardia, etc." When I add the problems of
keeping a two year-old GF (crumbs under the table, thumb sucking, etc.), it
gets VERY discouraging.

Our son still has episodes of diarrhea and each time I find myself
wondering what I did to cause it. Do I have unrealistic expectations of
wanting my two year-old to have healthy digestion the majority of the time?
I would love to hear from some parents who have worked at this for years. Do
I need to expect my son with celiac to be "sick" more than other kids - even
when I have done my best to keep him GF?
