In an attempt to find, locally, some cold cuts that would be safe for my
son and myself, I contacted Manda Fine Meats in Baton Rouge. I spoke to
Monique Sapia, 1-800-343-2642, who seemed to already be aware of potential
problems for celiacs (e.g. flour used in spices as a carrier, etc). I faxed
her a memo detailing concerns (no wheat, rye, barley or oats in any form;
no derivatives of same including no "ingredients of ingredients"; no cross
contamination possible from processing; no cultures that are grown on the
above grains) and a few days later received the following back:

As requested I've compiled a list of Manda products which can be included
in your list of Celiac-safe, gluten-free food items. These items are
categoriezed by brand name on the following page.
 
As you have discovered, our products are available in Albertson's food
stores. We also have product placed in several other grocery store chains
throughout the country, including Winn Dixie, Deichamps, Kroger's,
Randall's, Food Lion, Brookshire's, WalMart Super Centers, Harvest Foods,
Dillon's and Schnuck's.
 
You should be able to find Manda products in both the refrigerated meat
section (sausages) and the deli case (deli meats), although availability
may vary in different regions of the country.

I intend to send a copy of this information to CSA/USA for inclusion in
their annual shopping guide. (Manda was not on their list and none of the
corned beef or pastrami manufacturers =on= their list had products
