Hi Chris,
I am posting to the list because others may be interested.
you said:
Does anyone know of any supporting evidence for Prof. Greco's theory? The
references he cited seemed inconclusive about whether there really was a
geographic variation in incidence rates of CD.
Look at Lutz "The Colonisation of Europe and Our Western Diseases"
_MEDICAL HYPOTHESES_ vol. 45, pages 115 - 120, 1995
You also asked about a study that looked at cd in asians who had begun
eating a western diet. In the following study, the incidence in Punjabis
who were living in Manchester was 2.9 times greater than other residents
in that area:
Goggins, et. al. "Celiac Disease and Other Nutrient Related Injuries to
the Gastrointestinal Tract" _AMERICAN JOURNAL OF GASTROENTEROLOGY_
vol. 89, no.8, 1994.
I hope that is helpful,
Best Wishes,
Ron Hoggan
