Help! I finally made the decision for my daughter to be tested for Celiac.
At least the blood tests at this point. I have Celiac and my mother has DH.
My daughter's only symptom is constipation.

I called my Gastroenterologist. He told me he doesn't treat children (she is
13) but he would send me the paper work to take to a lab if all I wanted was
the blood tests. I was referred to MetPath in East Brunswick, NJ. Doesn't
this need to be sent to a speciality lab? Does MetPath send it somewhere?

I don't know if I should go about it this way or find a Pediatric
Gastroenterologist who would be willing to do the blood tests without the
"classic symptoms".

Thanks,
