I have been on this list to gain information about celiac for my mother's
sake, but now it has come a little closer. My son (10 1/2 months) got a
routine blood test and was discovered to have a low blood count - often
caused by iron deficiency. He has been put on iron drops, and the doctor
said not to worry, but (as a new, and very protective :), mother) I had
to read everything about iron deficiency that I could find. I read that
one of the possible outcomes of iron deficiency anemia in infants is
celiac disease. Does anyone else have any similar stories or knowledge
of this? Thanks for your help!
