I have been corresponding with someone on the diabetes LIST about food
labels and this morning she wrote the following:
>There were none at all many years ago when I first started working with Esther
>Peterson on the project. Diabetes has had a great role in food labeling. We
>complained mightily about not knowing that canned carrots and corned beef,
>etc were packed with sugar. It's amazing what we worker bees can accomplish
>in a good cause. Or my favorite line , "There is no end to what can be
>accomplished, if it doesn't matter who gets the credit. "
So, folks, don't despair, We can eventually make something happen with
labels, but it won't be tomorrow...
