I don't know if you remember me having posted a request for recommended
lasagne noodles...but I did so recently and someone suggested rice papers
from an oriental market....

Well, I tried them and they were awful. As recommended, I used two per
layer for each layer...The lasagne looked wonderful and having taste-tested
the sauce- it too was scrumptious, but the noodles (rice papers) had a
horrible flavor. Did I just get an old package of rice papers or do they
generally have a flavor to them? Had I smelled them prior to cooking them,
I would have questioned whether to use them, because they kind of had a
musty smell....

So beware of rice papers... I think it is a great idea and would have worked
if they were fresh maybe, but they tasted funny and none of us could eat
it....$20 bucks down the drain!

Experimentation at a cost - so goes the celiac life, eh?
