Hi,GF-folks,

My partner is having lots of trouble eating
products that contain starch.
Not with rice though..

Problems are constipation and abdominal
cramps, rather than diarrhea, but
considering the wheat-starch-relatedness,
we figured it was some gluten problem.

GF -diet helps a lot, but, no diagnoses was
ever done by any medical expert.
So she started to eat gluten again, and visited a
doctor.

Now he doesn't think it has anything to do with gluten,
because constipation and cramps are not the usual
symptoms here. He is however willing to do a blood-test,
which - he claims- gives 80% certainty.
If this test indicates no gluten intolerance or
allergy whatsoever, he is convinced further testing is
not neccisary.
He claims that AND testing negative AND
having these (unusual symptoms) is almost
excludes the possibility of gluten intolerance.

I would really like to hear if you agree on this,
or what other (not necisarily professional) opinions
you have. The strange thing is that she reacts so
very well on a GF diet...

I hope your reactions can help to find out what her
condition is...

[
reactions which are not relevant for the entire
list, can be send to my personal address:

Thanks for your help,

Best regards,

Colin
