Ahhhhhhhahahahah!
Sorry Maria, this is _not_ directed at you by any means. However, I offer
the personal "anecdotes" with my current insurance provider:
I have to date had two sinus surgeries, and multiple visits to the
emergency room due to severe asthma attacks. Expensive.
I was tested and found to have multiple allergies to foods,
airbourns and chemichal sensitivities. Again expensive.
Recommendation of my allergist was to begin antigen therapy and to
avoid (as much as possible) all irritants.
Response from insurance: "We don't cover antigen treatment.
Further, we don't normally cover allergy testing. You slipped in through
the cracks and therefore we will pay for the testing, but only because we
accidently approved the tests."
Recently diagnosed for celiac's. Need to find pure sources of meds
I already take. (ie: ones without gluten in them)
Response from insurance: "We don't cover those forms of the
product. Take what we cover or pay out of pocket for the others."
<sigh> I don't think they get it.
