My GI had me on Prilosec. After reading the package insert and finding the
same warning on-line about cancer and long-term use, I've dropped it after
taking it for one month. The concern is that it "May cause carcinoid tumors
if taken for over 8 weeks."
 
I wish I had read this before starting it.
