As an Irish man I am very pleased that Giampaulo enjoyed his stay in
Eire.
However, I am very confused about the (Taked of Guinness and irish whiskey).
Surely Guinness is not gluten free?
I am confused because I started my GF diet very strictly and know that I
did not eat any gluten containing foods. My allergic reaction of allergic
rhinitis completely went away. After drinking three pints of Guinness
I had a blocked eustacian tube within one hour, and ear-ache for three days.
I have had a complete food/spice allergy blood test done. I can not see that
I have any reason to suspect brewers yeast or any such thing, I can only
suspect gluten.
At the end of September I visit Ireland for the Galway Oyster festival. I
have already resigned myself to not drinking Guinness. Never mind, champagne
can wash oysters down nicely too :)
Any comments on the "Guinness is good for you??????" question would
be much appreciated.
