Just wanted to bring up the point that I am also highly reactive to petroleum
products (tires,perfumes,fabric stores) and suspisious of injesting something
that contains petroleum derivatives. My partner tells me that there is no
pass thru chemically but tell that to people who react to rice syrup with
barley malt (grain based) for a starter ( (I don't, that I'm aware of but
avoid anyhow.)
