Helen,
 
You did read me right, that I don't want to add to her heartache, but I
don't want to make it easy for it to happen again.  I had assumed that she
would probably get the connection in nursing school later, anyway, but I'm
going to give the grandmother the celiac faq and hope she concludes that her
daughter should still be on the diet.
 
On the bright side, maybe we'll be able to share recipes and resources.
That should make it easier for both families.
