Hello,

We are new to celiac Disease and we have alot of questions.
Our 16 month old daughter, Ashley, was diagnosed with
Celiac Disease one month ago. She has already begun her
Gluten-Free diet.

Her antibody blood test was strongly positive. Our
pediatrician says she has the "classic" signs of Celiac.
However, the specialist says there is some conflicting
test results with this diagnosis. He believes the results are
strongly suggestive of Celiac but are not conclusive. Our
Pediatrician is strongly encouraging us to wait
until Ashley is approximately 12 years old to do the biopsy.
We disagree. We would rather know now without a doubt if this
is Celiac. Please respond with opinions and/or experiences of
infant/toddler diagnosis. Did anyone else put their child
through a biopsy at this age? Is the Gluten challenge
painful? What are your opinions and justifications for
going through with a biopsy (or not going through with a
biopsy) at this age.

Is there anyone in the Western Massachusetts area with Celiac
children? Does anyone know of Celiac support groups in the Westerm
Mass. area? ...Or anywhere in Massachusetts?

Anyone have PALATABLE Gluten-Free recipes (especially snacks
and desserts) that have passed the taste test of a Toddler?

Does anyone know if the caramel coloring in Poly-Vi-Sol
vitamins is Gluten-Free?
