Celiac disease probably shows up in Autistic children because the
autistic children are being monitored more closely than the rest of the
population. Autism probably is no more common in celiacs than in the
rest. It seems to be the Celiac condition that is more often overlooked
in the general population. It seems that more and more, the professionals
are thinking that Celiac disease is much more common than is evidenced
at present by definite diagnosis. Someone can contradict this. It would
seem that Autistics can be Celiacs.Celiacs are not necessarily autistic.
Lactose intolerance is found in many Celiacs. It is not part of the
Celiac disease. AMS
