I recently came across cake and cookie decorative sprinkles under the Cake Mate
brand (manufactured and distributed by McCormick & Co - the spice company) which
appeared to be GF - pink and white hearts, small flowers & yellow stars. The
main ingredients were sugar, rice flour, oil and corn starch! My wife called
McCormick & the customer representative confirmed the GF status of the
products, as well as many other McCormick spices (all McCormick spices other
than curry powder & seasoning mixes are GF - the other items are clearly labeled
when they use wheat flour, etc - McCormick seems to understand the problems
Celiacs have with labeling and mystery ingredients).

One more tool for the arsenal of parents of celiac children.
