I used the 1 1/2 lb round pan Wel-Bilt machine for years. Just after
Christmas, I bought the Red Star machine. Called the 800 number and Red
Star says this model makes 1 or 1 1/2 lb loaves, both! There is another
model that makes a 2 lb loaf. This machine has a blade that is much
easier to remove adn the pan is a rectangle with rounded corners. If you
belong to CSA/USA, see the bread recipe inVolume XIII #1 of the Lifeline.
For others, here it is.

2 c oriental white rice flour 1 1/2 T clear gel (4 1/2 t)
1 c Bette Hagmasn flour mix 3 1/2 t xanthan gum
1 c nonfat dry milk powder (Sanalac or Carnation) or milk Substitute
1/4 c sugar 1 1/2 t salt

1 1/4 to 1 1/2 c water at room temp 2 large eggs
1 t vinegar 1/4 c margarine, melted

2 1/2 t active dry yeast

Follow instructions for your bread machine on how to add ingredients.

This is my favorite bread. It is soft and spongy, when toasted and will
wrap around a hot dog--when heated or toasted.

Buy the Clear Gel from Kitchen Glamor, 313-537-1300 or mail to them at
26770 Grand River, Redford Township MI 48240. Glear Gel is a fine white
powder made from waxy corn--discovered by Toni Richardson of Dearborn MI.
