Karyn,

What is it about visiting sisters? Years ago, before I knew I had the wheat
intolerance, I spent a week at my sister's in Pittsburgh. They ate wheat
constantly, gobs of it. I was so starving for a plateful of fresh
vegetables and salad. My husband almost fainted on a hiking trip we took
while we were there, and turned white as a sheet. I gained about 5-7 pounds
and was starving the whole time. Sounds familiar, doesn't it?

My gut reaction (no pun intended, but you can tee-hee-hee a little if you'd
like) is that you probably are sensitive to something you ate while there.
Did you get much milk or cheese? Some of us who have snuck onto this list
from the autism list are dealing with a wheat intolerance of a different
kind which also seems to implicate milk protein, casein. Have you tried
being off that for awhile?

But the real clue should be what it was you ate there that you don't eat at
home. (Hey, I'm originally from Tennessee...was it pork barbecue? Makes me
hungry just thinking about it.)

Just a thought...
