The Trader Joe's list was researched by TJ's own R.D. *after* she had
been "educated" by CDF and a few other sources. All "distilled vinegar"
sources mentioned in the safe foods have been verified - many of the
Europeans make vinegar from beets and other vegetables, which are
therefore safe. All "natural flavorings" were checked; those safe are so
listed; those with distilled alcohol (no source given) are in a
*separate, marked list*. As far as I can tell, she did a great job...
