Some of us are hiding behind many other nationalities. If you look at my
heritage you will find a HEINZ 57 - I am made up of on my Dad's side
English, Irish and Scottish. Then on my mothers side I have whatever
nationality comes from the Orkney Islands off England, maybe Welsh, then
Norwegian, French, English and some North American Indian thrown in. God
knows where the celiac came from but I do know that the Norwegians that
first settled in Minnesota had many children that did not survive infancy,
some failure to thrive, some twins, and some things like pneumonia, scarlet
fever, etc. Makes you wonder if the celiac was even there playing a role.
In those days without a lot of access to the medical wonders we have now,
survival was of the fittest.

P.S. - we did not know our last name was as British, until we visited
England and found signs for Bulmer's Cider.
