More consistently than a GI tract reaction, I can feel it in my
tonsils/throat when I get a small bit of gluten (with a lot of gluten,
my GI tract reacts strongly).  One of my tonsils gets really swollen. I
think this is just a reaction particular to me though, and it more a side
effect than the actual impact of gluten.  (Ie my immunue system is down,
so other infections spread.)
