The gestalt world transcends the boundaries of Ukraine and Russia. We have colleagues in both places, and these are people we admire and people for whom we have compassion. We care about them.  I really LIKE them.

I don’t like what Putin is doing. I look at pictures of him, as when he was meeting with his supposed cabinet or when he was giving us all a revision of history, and his expression seems like that of a dissociating person. A dead soul. What that dead soul can do, will do, next is not unpredictable. People are saying that we should listen more closely and take him seriously, because he has said what his purposes are.  This is similar to 1938.  People cannot let this stand, because it won’t stop with Ukraine.  And even if it were to stop with Ukraine, how could we live with that?  If the powers had not insisted that Ukraine give up its nuclear weapons, had they not guaranteed the security of that sovereign nation, I doubt that Russia would be invading it right now. We OWE them.

We owe them now.  There is a history to how everyone came to this point, but that was then and this is now.  It is false security to look at Ukraine and say they are not in NATO.  People should realize that everyone is IN this fight one way or another.  There are sides. And this is a struggle to win on several levels.  I would like to see the west provide the Ukrainians with every weapon they need in their military resistance to being invaded. They are putting up a good fight. They need support.  I would further like to see the west completely cut off commerce with Russia.  Block all sales of energy. Remove them from international banking and commerce systems. The people inside Russia, who are being dragged into this, need to continue to rise up.  The people in Georgia, where Russia invaded previously, need to rise up.  The people in the western nations, the NATO populations, need to see this as a war they are already in and to adopt a wartime mentality.  Let us drive our leaders to become more aggressive in resisting and blocking “the new world order.”

That is my perspective.  I imagine other people might have a different perspective.
