Harry,
I have seen where sometimes the arrow keys temporarily don't work properly when you first open a Web browser. When this happens I usually press the tab key just once. Usually, JAWS begins working properly and the navigation keys begin working. Please try doing this. Also, press the insert or JAWS key along with the letter Z to turn the virtual cursor off and then back on again.

Subject: [VICUG-L] a little progress with Chrome
Hi all,
Well folks, I tried Chrome again, and it still didn't talk, so I thought, let's see if Jaws key b does anything.
I pressed it, and it said the top of the web page, "home American council of the blind."
I always use that page, as a test page, to see if internet is working.
So at least it says that much, but I still cannot use my down arrow key to read down the web page.
Harry
