I know that , but most modern pcs that you buy wont have windows 10 on
board but windows 11 as I found out when I bought my pcs for my business.
There is not that much difference between the two, more optimizations
and probably features will be added along the way in due time.

I think a lot of us won't be rushing in as, so far at least, nothing has hit
me as suggesting that Win11 has something that I truly need which I don't
right now have with Win10.
Of course, over time, that can change but, as a retired home user, there is
really no pressure to upgrade either.
As you say, if a new pc is needed, that might force one's hand.
