ok.  Got several private replies so I thought I'd share the 2 answers that 
solve finding which wi-fi routers my laptop can connect at any given 
moment.

The 2 answers ar:

(1)  Go to the system tray and arrow through the choices for Internet 
Access.

(2)  In the Win10 search box, accessed by hitting the Windows Key, type 
network.
