Harry:
You have not stated what address the file has. If it's a text link, then pulling up the link, then pressing ctrl+d will allow you to add the item to your Favorites list. If the link is to a Desktop player file (ending in .asx, .m3u, .pls, etc.), then the only option I know of would be to add the file to the list of favorites inside of whichever Desktop player the file opens up in (as far as I know, Desktop player links cannot be saved to your standard Favorites file).

Subject: [VICUG-L] cannot save a favorite in internet explorer for a radio station
Hi all,
using jaws 2018, on a windows 10 computer.
This is driving me nuts! I am using internet explorer 11, and I found a link I want to save to my favorites, but when I press shift f10 to go into the context menu, I don't find copy shortcut. Instead I find, favorites bar checked, locked the toolbars checked, and nothing about copy shortcut!
I have been able to do this for years! So, I did what anyone would do, tried restarting the computer, and that did not get rid of the stupid thing!
please do not tell me to use another browser, because firefox and chrome don't have a favorites folder, and IE, does, where I can do 2 letter navigation to a favorite. .
Harry
