hi all,

I am using JAWS 17 on a Windows 7 desktop PC. My integrated sound card died recently and I installed a new separate PCI card into an empty slot. I told jaws to use the new sound card under the utilities / sound cards menu option but it doesn’t seem to be recognizing the setting . Windows is speaking through the new sound card But jaws is not. Does anyone have an idea of what sort of setting or other place I could look that might be causing the problem? jaws is definitely loaded but I hear no sound from it. Is there a jaws volume setting? I have disabled the old sound card through the device manager. all advice is welcome. Thank you.

Duane

Just between you and me, he is still trying to figure out how to use this thing.
