Well put I think Ronda.
I believe that god has a design for our lives and that praying to ask that
he restore our sight is assuming that evil some how had a part in our
becoming blind.
Is that such a stretch? I am not sure.
Anyway, I do know that I have touched people's lives and they have touched
mine over the years in a way would might not have happened had I not been in
the situation I am in.
I am not talking about people pittying us although that happens as well but
maybe you see what I am trying to say.
I have learned differently because of my blindness and it has touched so
many areas of my life and I think my life is really very good. I am
fortunate and happy and growing more each day.
I think people who ask to pray for us sometimes miss the boat. They think
our lives must be such a struggle and that if god would just restore our
sight that all of our problems would be over.
Well, the restoration of my sight would not have fixed my marital problems,
past problems with my family and other people and not even my table saw.
I might have spotted that little grimlin in my shop but that was really
trivial and entertaining for the most part.
I guess that is all I have to say for now.
You have opened up a good topic though and I will enjoy reading this thread.
