Hi, I am glad someone else responded to this.
I wanted to expound a bit on my pointing to first peater 3 where it talks of
how a gental and quiet spirit is precious in the sight of god.
The passage I spoke of is actually speaking to wives, but before that it
says that we should submit in the fear of god, all of us.
In short, god loves a submitted spirit. When we depend on him for our wants
and our needs to be met. Back in the beginning of man, when the woman
listened to satan instead of to what god told her, she was not submitting to
God, she was attempting to handle things herself and achieve the outcome she
wanted.
All of the griping and complaining in the world is going to bring us very
little comfort, for if we depend on god once, we should depend on him from
then on, not take little breaks inbetween to gripe because the world isn't
giving us what we need.
The world does not serve this pourpose, and people are not to be depended
upon to meet our needs all of the time. If we have long suffering though,
which is a fruit of the spirit, it will come to us if indeed that is what is
needed to happen.
I am not preaching or claiming to know all of the answers you understand. I
am just using pointers I have been directed to in the bible.
Take Care,
Matt
