Hi All,
Yes, this is on topic.
I've been thinking about getting a trail camera for home security. In a
nutshell, it's a battery operated camera with SD card that has a motion
sensor, can live out in the elements, and includes some sort of hot spot
functionality. These types of cameras were designed for hunting, but
they're also used for home security. Most are video only or some
combination of video and stills, but some, like the ones I've been
checking out, are video and audio. People use them for outdoors, where
wi-fi may be weak or nonexistent.
Anyway, my understanding is that, when the camera detects movement, it
starts recording or taking stills; then it sends the owner an email,
presumably with links to the recordings/stills. If anyone on list has
any experience with these, how accessible is the website you go to to
check the camera feed/history? I'm hoping to find links with timestamps,
not unlabeled graphics.
Any wisdom would be much appreciated.
Ciao
