Hi Harry,
I'm not sure if I understand your problem. How did you delete the files from your flash drive? Did you open File Explorer, move your cursor to the file, and then press the delete key? When you were done did you select the Windows option to safely exit the drive? You can do this by using the applications key and pressing down arrow until your screenreader says something like "remove hardware." Press enter on that. Be careful not to select the reformat storage device option. Once you have activated the safe to remove hardware option you will get a message from Windows indicating it is safe to remove the hardware.
I have found that sometimes files don't get deleted from a flash drive. Make sure your cursor is focused on the correct file. I'm not sure if files removed from storage devices show up in the recycle bin but you can also check there to see if the file was deleted. I hope this helps.
Dan

Subject: [VICUG-L] files I deleted are back, why?
Hi all,
Using windows 10, latest version.
Here's the problem.
I deleted a bunch of files from my thumb drive, also called flash drive,
2 days ago.
However, I went back to the drive just now, and the files I deleted are back, so I had to delete them, again!
Can someone tell me why this is happening?
Harry
